Dublin singer–songwriter · alt / indie rock
Dublin singer–songwriter “The Incredible Al Richardson” blends Mod roots, ’90s British guitar influences, and classic storytelling to craft a sound shaped by decades of musical discovery.
After emerging on the Dublin scene in the 2000s and returning to writing in 2023, he has recorded a new collection of tracks — including Man Made, featuring a standout guitar performance from Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Cradock.
With fresh material planned for 2026 and a renewed presence on the live circuit, Richardson steps back into the spotlight with a voice that’s both seasoned and unmistakably his own.
Watch this space for new releases, gigs, and stories from the road.
Hear the latest from The Incredible Al Richardson – including Man Made (feat. Steve Cradock) and more.

Man built the walls
To protect us all
And he made
Machines to tear them down
Man lends a hand
Whenever you fall
First he pulls
The rug from under you
First there was nothing
Now there's not that much more
The truth it hides behind
The key to your door
Man made the gods
You can't worship them all
But you can spill
Blood in their name
Man won't see you in need
Tells you just what you seek
And surrounds himself
With lust and greed
First there was nothing
Now there's not that much more
The truth it hides behind
The key to your door
Spinning round & round & round
Like a song, trapped within
For the children
Who Run, Run, Run
To be free
Only seeking Peace
New life in the crossings
Wash feet in the stream
I'm wandering round, trying to find
Something that I'll never find
I hear the trees, they speak to me
The wind rustles their leaves
I'm out on the street, out on my feet
I'm out of my time
I've been down this road so many times
Only now I can see
Echoes in the quarry
Like the lines on my face
Go deeper down, under the ground
Feel it under your seat
The wheels are moving, water is free
Flowing under the bridge
Turning tides, clouds drifting by
Waves of waving at me
I've been down this road so many times
Only now I can see
She only speaks to those who know
Bring her flowers that never grow
And the lining, round her dreams
Shattered at the seams
As she wanders, around the halls
New life in the crossings
Washed feet in the stream
I'm wandering round, trying to find
Something that I'll never find
I hear the trees, they speak to me
The wind rustles their leaves
The turning tides, clouds drifting by
Waves of waving at me
